Handbrake Turn Graduation

Air Radiators was again proud to present the Distinction Award at the recent Handbrake Turn Graduation in March.

On Friday 19th March, eighteen students graduated from Handbrake Turn. Located in North Geelong, Hand Brake Turn gives participants the opportunity to complete an automotive course and graduate with Certificate I in Automotive. Air Radiators employee James Lunney said "This is about giving disadvantaged young people a real opportunity to get their lives on track and carve out a successful pathway for the future. I'm really happy to be involved."

Air Radiators is a primary sponsor of Handbrake Turn and has sponsored the Distinction Award at each Handbrake Turn graduation for three years. James Lunney presented Joshua Turner-Jacobs, Bonnerville Barrowman and Kate Rogersnewling a drill set to recognize these attributes:

  • Personal effort made
  • Effort in helping others
  • Work ethic during the course
  • Character, and
  • Personal development in acknowledgement of their life journey.

Handbrake Turn offers hands-on training in:

  • Motor Mechanics
  • Spray Painting
  • Detailing
  • Panel BeatingOther areas covered include workshop safety, goal setting and communication skills.
